Hannah came to play

A lovely new model called Hannah came over yesterday, after a slightly hectic start (it started snowing and Murray was an hour late with the lights because of traffic!) it turned out to be a hugely enjoyable shoot. Hannah is lovely.

I've also discovered I need a step or something if I plan to shoot models over 5ft.

Anyway... photos!

Thanks to Hannah for being such a star!

Lovely Lauren and awesome people

James (jazzy) came over to my house on Tuesday and let me play with his lights, lenses and camera. Here are some of the photos. (I took some on James'camera too but he hasn't sent them over yet so expect another update)

Here are some of the photos

Lauren is great and I'll definitely be working with her again, she's a dancer so need a big space to work in.

I would like to end this post with my list of awesome people.

Erica Von Stein
Bill (WMcK)
Alex Ingram
Simon Pole
James (jazzygf)
Barrie Spence
Les Johnstone

You're all blooming awesome. :)

Shiny shiny!

Well, I was really bored one night... so I took a led light, and a shiny heart thing my boyfriend brought back from a festival... and these were the results.

Most of the tutorials I've seen recommend f/5.6 to f/8 for these light painting things, but these were taken at much smaller apertures... around f/22 with shutter speed varying from 3 to 10 seconds.

I didn't spend much time with these, but I'm going to see if I can find different colours of LED lights and try again, and maybe experiment with some camera tossing. Exciting!

Kiddies

These are just some random snaps of our kids, who luckily for me are the biggest posers ever. They helped me learn how to use my camera.

Claire

Well it's been a little while, and I haven't blogged about my shoot with the lovely Claire yet.

Claire isn't a model, this was her first time infront of the camera. Claire was screwed over by another photographer out of winning a facebook competition, so I thought I'd take her out to play.

I had lots of issues unfortunately, it was minus 3 and the viewfinder kept misting up so I couldn't see if anything was in focus.

Here are some photos of the gorgeous girl
